What Music
02:58
|
|||
What music is this?
Rosemary on the mountain slopes
What music is this
that pins the rocks and holds the crags in place?
What music is this?
What music is this
that she gathers in the garden,
What music is this
that she smiles upon the children
What music is this!
Honey for her lover who sleeps

Our friend Lotta from Finland who taught us the song explained the meaning of the words to us as something like this:
The Old Wise Masterlived in complete presence, every moment of his time in the essence of his native land.
He sang without tiring, day after day. He sang the Ancient Memory of the Ancient Places which few of the children sing and which few human beings could understand anyway.
He was reaching a time when his presence would disappear, like the one piece of bread left, before he would return to the essence.

Quarter of a Breath
04:19
|
|||
Not just to connect
but to connect
with the depths
of the deep
And not to just stretch
but to stretch as far
as we think
we can never reach
And if that's only a Quarter of a Breath away
That's all it takes
One day the dam will break
and I don't know what I know
and I won't until
one day the dam will break
I just love you
please one day
one day
the dam will break
And if that's only...
I see you and then I see you
and then everything
is your beauty
When I breathe
when I breathe in you
again.
that's all it takes

Naked
04:26
|
|||
Acceptance, of every last experience
Leaving, silence screaming
So we come to where our walls are broken
Fallen, to the unknown.
And here's where, here's where we pull the kite in
fasten it down where wild daffodils shine
We made love down there in the springtime
and the moon began to grow.
Naked, life loves us naked
Since we came in naked
So we go
Dancing, dancing with our children
Joyful in the wonder they just know
Searching, searching in their spirits
Yearning, yearning for how to be.
Naked...
Acceptance of every last experience
Dancing in the unknown.

Verses of Rumi
08:25
|
|||
In love, aside from sipping the wine of timelessness, nothing else exists. There is no reason for living, except for giving one's life.
I said: First I know you, then I die.
He said: For the one who knows me, there is no dying.
With the beloved's water of life no illness remains. In the beloved's rose garden of union, no thorn remains.
They say: There is a window from one heart to another.
How can there be a window where no wall remains?

The Diamond
04:50
|
|||
And if we would linger
and if we would linger a while
and if love would take us
truly within us, tenderly break us,
so the stone;
so the stone yields it's diamond again
each water drop falling
one by one by one
slowly dissolving the stone
so the stone yields it's diamond again,
once again
so the stone yields it's diamond again
and if we would take it
and if we would carry such light in our eyes
in our hearts once again
as never before
once again. once again
as never before
and if we would give love
truly within love
crumble
so the stone;
so the stone yields it's diamond again.
And if we would linger
and if we would linger a while
and if love would take us
truly within us, tenderly break us,
so the stone;
so the stone yields it's diamond again
once again
so the stone yields it's diamond again
